The Living Daylights

Timothy Dalton makes his debut as James Bond, but proves a pale shadow of Sean Connery and Roger Moore. The good news is the return of Bond's trademark Aston Martin car, souped up by Q to carry laser beams, but the formula look very dated here -- especially with the well-worn story of a Russian agent defecting to the West.

Timothy Dalton remains to this day the most Fleming like Bond to grace the silver screen. His debut as agent 007 brings the character back to life and far away from the laughable incarnation of Roger Moore. This film is a great story spanning several continents, great set pieces and is a worthy addition to THE most successful series of films in Cinema history. Ian Fleming would have been proud of Dalton's 007.
