This superior TV movie may be packed to the gills with stock characters and situations but director Peter Levin cranks up the tension as amateur sleuth Jasmine Guy stalks countless danger passages in search of the truth. The plot may be far-fetched but you could hear the gold tiepin at the centre of the case drop in the genuinely scary moments.
