George C Scott demonstrates here that he can play screwball comedy with the best of them. An engagingly wacky action farce, the film casts Scott as a lisping criminal mastermind who determines to steal an entire bank - lock, stock and barrel. The durable Joanna Cassidy plays one of her earliest roles as the beautiful gang member who almost takes Scott's mind off the projected robbery. One of only two films directed by Gower Champion who, in partnership with his then wife Marge, was one of MGM's brightest dancing stars in the Fifties.
