Hudson takes a shine to motherhood

Kate Hudson was literally bursting out of her glitzy gown as she attended the premiere of her new movie at the Venice Film Festival.

The 24-year-old is expecting her first child with husband Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes. Accompanied by Australian actress Naomi Watts, Hudson stopped to wave for the adoring fans and awaiting press.

Looking radiant and blossoming, Hudson's transparent silver number, revealed her rapidly expanding bump.

A bump that proves Hudson is no ordinary pregnant lady - she has joined the elite band of celebrity women that fail to pile on the pounds when eating for two. The group includes the likes of Claudia Schiffer, Sadie Frost and Kate Moss.

Kate Winslet on the other hand, provides a look at the other end of the spectrum - "I was five months pregnant but I didn't have a proper bump. I was just really round and...well, fat."
