Jane Horrocks
Born: 18th January 1964
Where: Rossendale Valley, Lancashire
Jane Horrocks began her training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company.
After winning acclaim in the play Cartwright's Road, she started to secure parts in movies such as Getting It Right.
It wasn't long before she was earning rave reviews on the movie scene, notably for her portrayal of a troubled teenager in Life Is Sweet.
The stage-play The Rise and Fall of Little Voice was written especially for her.
She took the title role in the 1998 film alongside Michael Caine, and introduced her extraordinary vocal range to a much wider audience.
Jane is perhaps best known for her role of dippy personal assistant Bubble in Absolutely Fabulous.
Having recently recorded an album, her voice can also be heard in Lion Of Oz, Watership Down and the animated smash hit Chicken Run.
