Taking up the theme of drink-driving and its consequences on the culprit, victim and their respective families - already explored in the earlier TV movie MADD: Mothers Against Drunk Drivers - this is an effective tear-jerker. It has several intriguing twists and is nicely balanced by making 'social' drinker Don Murray, who kills a pretty high school student, an otherwise likeable, upstanding citizen. In an early role that even pre-dates his stint in the TV series 'St Elsewhere' you'll spot Oscar-winner Denzel Washington, as a courtroom lawyer involved in prosecuting the case.
