Very adequate sequel to 'The Face of Fu Manchu', made by the talented Don Sharp, and based again on Sax Rohmer's vintage bogeyman, who's full of eastern threat. Although nothing like as stylish as its predecessor, it manages to get quite a lot of fun out of the wheezy but colourful plot, in which the sinister and evil menace (Christopher Lee) kidnaps daughters of the world's top men to force key relatives to develop a deadly new energy ray. Pretty lively, this is the second of Lee's five Fu Manchu films: standards began to drop away from here on.
