Rupert Graves
Born: June 30 1963
Where: Weston-Super-Mare, UK
Grave's breakthrough performance was as Freddy Honeychurch in Merchant-Ivory's Room With A View.
He followed that up with James Ivory's Maurice opposite James Wilby and Hugh Grant and Charles Sturridge's Handful of Dust.
These atypically English period pieces were unlikely choices for a former punk rocker and fully-fledged circus clown.
Subsequent big screen credits have included The Madness of King George, Different for Girls and the award-winning Intimate Relations.
On stage, Graves has received plaudits for Closer on Broadway and The Elephant Man.
Recent feature work has included the ludicrous action caper Extreme Ops with Rufus Sewell.
