A tiresome screwball comedy-cum-murder mystery that wastes the talents of a great cast, headed by Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda, and including Penny Singleton in one of a number of Thirties' roles she played before becoming the screen's Blondie. Only those who like spotting a whole battery of characters from the era are likely to sit through this one till the end. Stanwyck and Fonda give the professional performances you'd expect in this fast but flimsy frolic, though even here the strain shows at times.
