After being double-crossed by his lover (Joan Chen) and partner (James Remar), poor Rutger Hauer finds himself sent to a high-tech prison after a $25million diamond heist in this futuristic but dreadfully dated yarn. But the jail Hauer is sent to has a difference - all the inmates wear explosive collars which are linked to another inmate, only nobody knows who. So if anyone tries to escape - boom - and bang goes their unknown partner's head too. Luckily Hauer discovers Mimi Rogers is his 'Wedlock' partner and they escape, but with the crooked warden Stephen Tobolowsky, Chen and Remar on their heels. Why? The diamonds were never recovered. It's a predictable tale that full of laughable situations.
