A truly unnecessary sequel to the Brooke Shields remake of the old classic. All the old plot lines are trotted out and, after a fair beginning - with two new children shipwrecked on a desert isle with a guardian who'll conveniently die when they are old enough to fend for themselves - the movie becomes completely expendable as soon as the kids grow up. The teenagers - Brian Krause, who looks like a tennis pro, and Milla Jovovich, a genuine, sun-kissed Californian maid - simply aren't up to it. Monsoon rains, a few tame natives, underwater kissing scenes and a mangy-looking shark. That's about it, and it'll bore you stiff.
