An engagingly silly John Candy comedy about a TV scriptwriter who has an accident and falls into his own daily soap. The nice thing is that he finds he can control developments in the serial by typing them in his dreams, contrary to the real-life wishes of the guy who's been called in to rewrite his stuff. You'll like too, the idea of Robert Wagner turning up as an unwanted guest star - 'But you're Robert Wagner, you don't do daytime soap' Candy tells the bemused actor, who supposed to be in character, just before Wagner blasts him with a shotgun for sending him to Cleveland. Candy exercises his own brand of personal charm and, if the comedy basically isn't up to much, and falls apart at the end, it's mainly thanks to the star that it proves at least a useful antidote to those daytime office blues.
