A compelling film about the supernatural and family reconciliation, based on the Lucy Maud Montgomery novel. This is director Kevin Sullivan's third adaptation of a Montgomery novel for television, the others being 'Anne of Green Gables' and 'Road to Avonlea'. The excellent cast - especially Sam Waterston, Mairon Bennett, Colleen Dewhurst and Zoe Caldwell - and top-notch direction help to bring this spooky tale alive.
