Christopher Monger
Monger's directorial breakthrough was the feelgood yarn The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain.
The romantic comedy, starring the ever-reliable Hugh Grant and Tara Fitzgerald, proved to be a moderate box office hit.
Monger's first feature Voice Over in 1983 was followed by the higher profile Waiting for the Light starring Shirley MacClaine and Louis Guzzo.
Next came gender-bender comedy Just Like A Woman starring Julie Walters.
Recent film work includes the lacklustre Girl From Rio starring Hugh Laurie, which Monger wrote and directed.
