An eerie thriller about a tunnel-of-light experience, claimed to be shared by many people in near-death situations. Christopher Reeve is a rich, debonair businessman who does nothing to revive his stepdaughter after she drowns in a pond. Stunned by the tragedy, her mother is involved in a car accident which leaves her unconscious and in a netherworld for six minutes. Soon after, her life falls apart and she claims to be receiving visits from her dead daughter. It's the performances that carry this film - especially from ex-Superman Reeve and Marg Helgenberger as his distraught wife - and not the indifferent screenplay.
