Gregory Hines gives full value in this tense, disturbing drama in which he goes back to his Deep South home town to find out why his dad was lynched in 1956. Thanks to Hines' performance, plus the fine script and direction, this is an involving tale that avoids clichés and has a ring of reality to it After starring in Will & Grace, Hines died of cancer in 2003, aged 57.
