Predictable if amiable romantic comedy starring Patrick Dempsey and the charming Helen (Supergirl) Slater as college students who find themselves sharing the same dormitory. Director Mel Damski and his youthful cast (which includes Brad Pitt in one of his earliest roles) all try very hard and the two leads pour their considerable energy and talent into their parts. But the story too often disintegrates into farce when it what it really needed was a touch more romantic development between its two personable stars.
