Robin Tunney

Robin Tunney

Born: 19th June 1972
Where: Chicago, Illinois

The actress first attracted attention in her first lead role alongside Neve Campbell in the witchcraft chiller The Craft.

Originally a child star in TV adverts, she went on to study acting at the Chicago Academy for the Performing Arts.

After moving to LA aged 18, she played a recurring role on the short-lived drama Class of 96 and a manicurist on the equally short-lived sitcom Cutters.

In 1994, Tunney appeared on the big screen, as a popular high school girl attracted to Brendan Fraser's caveman in the comedy California Man.

She also gained notice for her turn as a suicidal youth in Allen Moyle's drama Empire Records.

1996 marked Tunney's first leading role in Andrew Fleming's supernatural The Craft, where she played a newcomer to a Catholic school who bonds with three other outcasts.

She married producer, director Bob Gosse, who had directed her in Niagara, Niagara.

Her profile was raised when she starred alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in End of Days and she went on to co-star opposite Chris O'Donnell in Vertical Limit.

Tunney earned rave reviews for her work as a martini-fuelled woman in Cherish which was screened at Sundance in 2002.

The following year she appeared in The In-Laws opposite Michael Douglas and also starred in The Secret Lives of Dentists.

In 2004, she played Cole Hauser's wife in the revenge thriller Paparazzi.

"As a girl, you only get to kick the guy in the balls. That's as bad as it gets. So, I'm looking forward to a role where I hit in the face, and not just the balls."
