Whatever happened to Kathleen Turner and Dennis Quaid? Two of the brightest stars of the mid Eighties, their careers slid downwards and downwards until they ended up in this stunningly inept farce, played so far over the top by its cast as to be an embarrassment. The only hint of subtlety in the whole enterprise is the title: Quaid and Turner are Mr and Mrs Blue, undercover FBI (or something, who cares? ) agents working on a case to deport a continental mastermind. Even so, the original title, Cloak and Diaper, was better. It's all ludicrously comic, and you can't help puzzle why, even at this low point in their careers, Turner and Quaid ever became involved in it all. It makes the contemporary Cop & ½ seem a gem of wit and action. Blues is right.
