In return for their hearts' desire -- from the depths of Satan's antique shop -- the citizens of Castle Rock (coincidentally the name of the film's distributors) are only too keen to go about the Devil's bidding. Considering all this is based on a Stephen King novel, it's pretty silly, but well-enough done and never dull. Impressive turns from Max Von Sydow's Satan and Ed Harris's Sheriff help it along.
