Decent performances from Pamela Reed and Michael Moriarty are the only redeeming features of this real-life TV movie that would otherwise deserve to end up on the slush pile. They play a pair of high powered journalists: she works for the Los Angeles Times, he works for the New York Times, who are naturally under some pressure from their cross-country relationship. The drama begins when their baby is born prematurely. The problem with this is, as the characters are not particularly appealing as people, it's hard to be drawn into their lives and, if there is a chance to relate to them as people, this doesn't happen until well into the film.
