Two high school students who have made the grade academically but are shunned in the popularity stakes decide to masquerade as foreign students. Why any of their classmates or teachers would fall for this ruse, particularly with the preposterous accents adopted by the child actors involved in this Disney TV movie, is a major stumbling point in the credibility stakes. But if you can suspend your disbelief then the film is quite amusing entertainment for young children who are sure to get its basic message that getting to know yourself is so much more rewarding than trying to be someone else. The young cast is augmented with cameos by several biggish Hollywood stars, including Lindsay Wagner and former American footballer OJ Simpson (more recently famous for being on trial for murder).
