This tepid version of the Biblical story of love and betrayal is certainly lavish by made-for-TV movie standards but can't hope to match the classic 1949 version of the story by Cecil B DeMille on the epic scale. The story gets bogged down by banal dialogue, but Antony Hamilton's Samson is a muscular hero.
