Children won't mind this pleasant Disney confection about a guardian angel dispensing lessons in kindness and humility to a distracted father and husband (Disney regular Fred MacMurray). But any adult who has seen the classic It's a Wonderful Life will see it for what it really is: a well-worn trip down familiar terrain. All the regular Disney elements are in place, from a scene-stealing family dog to children with problems. And in the best traditions of the studio, all comes right in the final reel.
