Daryl To Kill Her Billing

Daryl Hannah may have made a splash and now a slash in Hollywood, but frankly it's doing nothing for her.

The eye patch-wearing star of Tarantino's Kill Bill, has told a German magazine that she's done with being in front of the camera - Playboy camera's may well be excepted.

"My place is behind the camera.

"It means much more to me when I can make my own films and be rewarded for it."

The huge publicity machine behind a film opening is plainly not Daryl's bag.

"I have to go from one appointment to the next, put in an appearance everywhere, constantly meet new people at film premieres - it's not my thing."

The 42-year-old actress, who starred in her first film, The Fury, back in 1978 before springing to fame with the 1984 film Splash, has totted up an impressive 39 movies in her filmography.

But when asked why it's taken her so long to decide that acting is not her thing, she said:

"Everyone does things at their own pace. Sometimes it takes you a while before you realise that something is not right for you."

But 25 years? That's a long time to be doing something you don't like.

Daryl won't be chuffed then, that Kill Bill is top of the US box office, or with the talk that it's revived her career, because she may well get offered other parts now.

Hopefully, for her own sake, she'll remember to say 'no thanks'.
