A Spanish-Mexican tale of James Bondish derring-do, with Spain's Jorge (here George) Rivero. His casting as a Jewish mercenary is spot-on compared to Swedish actor Max Von Sydow's as a Spanish police chief called O'Donnell. In any case, acting honours are completely snaffled by George Peppard as a ruthless, misogynistic ex-Foreign Legion villain, whose appearance after an hour of routine action, cigarette holder in one hand and glass in the other, comes almost too late to save the film.
