Powerful in acting talent and subject matter, but stickily made by stage director Jack Hofsiss, this film offers Jill Clayburgh another opportunity to turn on the anguish she portrays so well in the true story of a career woman addicted to Valium. There are stand-out performances in the supporting cast by Dianne Wiest and Geraldine Page, both of whom were later to win Oscars.
