Nostalgia, nostalgia everywhere in this cartoon sequel to The Wizard of Oz. Based on L Frank Baum's own first sequel to his children's classic, it adds Dorothy to the plot of that and gives her the voice of Liza Minnelli, daughter of Judy Garland, the original Dorothy. Just for good measure, Margaret Hamilton, the original Wicked Witch, voices Aunt Em, and Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland's favourite dancing partner in films - they made nine together - provides the voice of the Scarecrow. Virtually completed in 1964, but tinkered around with for years before eventual release. There's a teasing look at the end at how the players would have looked in costume for a live-action version.
