A lavish, high-spirited version of the classic Kipling tale set in 1890s India, with British soldiers taking on rebellious natives, and a little Indian boy recruited by the former. Made three decades after the Errol Flynn classic, this is also flavoursome dose of high adventure, with Australia's Bryan Brown in the old Flynn role, Ravi Sheth impressive as the boy (previously played by Dean Stockwell) and Peter O'Toole evidently enjoying himself as an Indian mystic in a bald wig.
