Cowboys and Indians in the guise of a horror film. The Indian chiefs are the vampires, the legions of the undead their braves. The evergreen Professor Van Helsing (still Peter Cushing) is a Custer who can never lose, kung-fu fighters being his trusty troopers against the dreaded Dracula (John Forbes-Robertson, quite impressive) and his golden vampires. The gore flows with a will from sundry portions of the anatomy and Roy Ward Baker directs the mayhem at a frantic pace. Rest assured that the only good vampire is a dead vampire!
