Former Hollywood screen beauty Myrna Loy, once voted Queen of the Movies to Clark Gable's King, holds court in this above-average TV movie. Sparks fly when Judge Loy takes to the bench in the case of assistant DA William Shatner, accused of a particularly nasty piece of double murder. He claims he was 150 miles away at the time... Strong casting (Eli Wallach, Harry Guardino and Fifties players Tracey Roberts and Alfred Ryder are also in it) and solid direction by the experienced Boris Sagal carry this one through, but the leads - George Grizzard and Reni Santoni - are uncharismatic and the film didn't lead to the series for which its producers were hoping.
