A professional cast, headed by the redoubtable Martin Sheen as a judge who's sort of a restablishment demon, seemed to have placed this film by director Emile De Antonio before a more general audience than were used to seeing his work. In fact, it proved less popular than some of his earlier movies, and, despite a subject that never loses its fascination - a group of protesters prosecuted for damaging nuclear missiles the reasons aren't difficult to see. The reconstruction of the case never escapes the feeling of staginess, and technical aspects of the film, especially the sound, are not up to the director's usual standards.
