Originally made for television, but ultimately shown in cinemas in Britain, the origins of the film are readily apparent from its rather static quality and over-use of close-ups characteristic of TV movies of the time. But its action scenes, when they come, are well done and the story, set in New York in 1967, is dramatic enough. The title suggests a family drama, which in a sense it is though the `family' is a Mafia one...
