Those searching for a new slant on the standard excesses of the teen comedy will be disappointed in this lacklustre effort. When their efforts to join their school's fraternity groups are thwarted, a couple of nerds (Robert Carradine and ER's Anthony Edwards) attempt to join an all-black group. They meet with better luck, but their efforts to celebrate are frustrated by their macho counterparts. Rampaging pigs (literally), sex and drugs are all on offer, as the underdogs battle to gain credibility. Alas, it's all been done before, and since, to better effect. One-time fans of thirtysomething should look out for a young Timothy Busfield; John Goodman and Matt Salinger take minor roles.
