Another futuristic variation on the society-descending-into-anarchy scenario. Here, though, it isn't a post-nuclear holocaust America that is crumbling, but one being decimated by a virulent sexually-transmitted disease. People who have the disease or are suspected of having it are herded into concentration camps. The Oscar-winning Cuba Gooding Jr battles gamely against both this situation and an often so-so script that nonetheless creates characters with more depth than usual, and carves a highly watchable story out of a rag-bag of familiar ideas.
