Peter Weller and Judy Davis put their backs into this satirical black comedy as an LA couple seeking meaning to their rich, empty lives via New Age spirituality. But, despite their hard work, and that of writer-director Michael Tolkin, author of the much cleverer The Player, they're rewarded with shaky, unappetising results in a rather boring movie. If this is the new age, give us the good old days any time. Older TV fans may spot a much-aged Adam West, TV's original Batman, in a supporting role.
