Dennis Quaid's then-rising star career was pretty much on hold when he made this early Nineties misfire. He plays Wallace Foudroyant, one of two brothers who have the uncanny gift of being able to make objects explode into flames just by thinking hard. Wallace is married to Vida (Debra Winger), but is at war with his brother Wilder (Arliss Howard - the best thing in the film) because of a prank which backfired. Added to this bad blood, there are deeply ingrained tensions over Vida's affections for Wilder. And that's about it. How sad it is to see Quaid and Winger in such odd dross.
