A yawny romantic comedy vehicle with off-form stars.
Work-obsessed Julia Roberts (overworking the charm) catches skirt-obsessed husband Dennis Quaid in one of his seemingly frequent affairs.
With daughter in tow (a rare event, since she's always forgetting the child) she flees to her parents (Gena Rowlands and Robert Duvall), at whose stable she works.
In the course of attempting to get Quaid out of her system (obviously a lost cause), she blows the gaff on the affairs of all those around her, including her parents.
There's a show jumping background to all this, but the chances are, you won't care about the very obviously fabricated problems of these people.
And the screenplay is peppered with obscenities, perhaps to keep us awake.
Kyra Sedgwick, as the heroine's earthy sister, deservedly gets all the best lines. There aren't many.
