The twist in this action-filled Western is that the gunslinger at the centre of the tale is blind. Actually, the idea of the blind gunfighter is strikingly reminiscent of Japan's blind samurai Zatoichi films. But if the story isn't as original as its producers would have us believe, a good cast - headed by Armand Assante, Elisabeth Shue and Robert Davi - gives it stature. Assante takes the central role of the ex-Union soldier, blinded in battle, who arrives in a small town terrorised by villains. Naturally, he is nursed back to health by an attractive lady doctor and sets about a plan to despatch the baddies amidst a splattering of violence and profanities. So-so stuff, but at least there's plenty going on.
