Far-fetched but fast-moving, this is a glossy psycho-thriller with some eye-catching performances, though not, unexpectedly, from the talented Jennifer Rubin, too placid here as the teacher-turned-model who finds dead bodies dropping all round her when she becomes the new face on the modelling block. Sally Kellerman, as the fashion queen who doesn't seem to have any other models but Rubin, drips with sarcasm, Stephen Shellen and Andrew Gillies also score as colourful rock star and spiteful choreographer respectively, and Michael Ironside brings his heavy menace to another supporting role. Hold tight for the sequence in an elevator and the twist at the end.
