Fortysomething Julia Cole (Diane Salinger) is going through a mid-life crisis, so she dyes her hair and becomes a bit of a swinger. But she instantly forgets her cares when she finds a bottle of enchanted soap suds and makes a wish on the magic bubble of the title. Understandably, her husband Charles (John Calvin) thinks she's having a nervous breakdown! The result's a pretty silly fantasy comedy, but it's played with some zest, style and conviction by a game cast.
