Star Trek's Patrick Stewart distinguishes himself as Sir Simon de Canterville, a cantankerous ghoul doomed to haunt Canterville Hall for 400 years in this latest re-working of Oscar Wilde's delightful spooky tale.

When a family of Americans takes up tenancy at the hall Sir Simon is far from happy but maybe he sees a way out of his haunting existence.

A very watchable version of the story bolstered by an impressive cast which includes Cherie Lunghi, Donald Sinden, Joan Sims and Leslie Philips.
