Joey Lauren Adams earned her place in history when she took Bud Bundy's virginity in The hugely successful TV sitcom Married With Children.

It's Joey's voice that is distinctive, almost like a little girl's, and the actress has feared that it would grate on audiences, which some critics believe it has.

But voice or no voice, Joey has managed to establish a reasonable career for herself, on the small screen and more recently in features.

Her feature debut came in 1995 as part of the ensemble cast of Kevin Smith's Mallrats, and the following year Smith cast her in her first lead in Chasing Amy.

More recently Joey has featured in Big Daddy, opposite Adam Sandler, in Harvard Man opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar and in Dr. Dolittle 2 with Eddie Murphy.
