Or Car 54, Get Lost, as this alleged comedy should have been titled. Everything is wrong with this painfully unfunny big screen treatment of an early Sixties sitcom that wasn't very funny in the first place. To cap it all, it seems to be aimed at an audience not old enough to remember (fondly or otherwise) the original. David Johansen and John C McGinley star as two incompetent cops who cause chaos trying to protect a key witness against the Mafia. Come back Police Academy, all is forgiven!
