This John Woo offering has the expected violence in bucketloads as three pals first escape from Hong Kong gangs and end up in Saigon trying to deal in contraband but they have unfriendly encounters with the Vietnamese army and then the Viet Cong.

They are tortured by the latter and one of the trio survives a bullet in the head, though later his experiences drive him to insanity.

If you like them tough and nasty, this won't disappoint.
