You may be as confused as star Scott Glenn by this murder mystery that becomes more bizarre by the minute. Glenn plays a veteran police 'tec who fancies himself as a mystery writer. He becomes friendly with a new neighbour (Lara Flynn Boyle) who confides in him that she has witnessed a murder. Well, truth turns out to be stranger than fiction for our perplexed hero and his police partner (Anthony LaPaglia) in a will o' the wisp plot that involves more murder, changed identities and the unconscious mind. If you enjoy something that teases the brain without taxing it with too much that is new or different, this competently made thriller could just be your late-night cup of tea.
