The second in the detective TV movie series about Chicago's most dedicated policeman, Jack Reed (Brian Dennehy). This time round, Reed is investigating the brutal murder of a pregnant woman where all the evidence points to a wealthy businessman. But his progress is hampered by corruption within his own department. Dennehy performs to the peak of his usual pugnacious ability in a routine but enjoyable thriller that he also co-wrote and directed. Pity about the soupy ending.
