I Love Trouble

Although Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte are within hailing distance of Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant, this throwback to Sixties comedies never quite hits the mark.

There's a microfilm, of course, and the bad guys want it. What they don't bargain for is that the rail crash they've caused to cloak the microfilm holder's murder is about to develop into a battlefield between two reporters, each determined to get the answers first.

While the newshounds are inevitably cracking the case, there's some mildly amusing banter between them, some serviceable suspense scenes and the inevitable shootout at the end but Director Charles Shyer hasn't quite got the pace right.
