A second sequel to 1985's popular fantasy action adventure Highlander, with Christopher Lambert back as immortal warrior Connor MacLeod.

Here he battles his old adversary, the shape-shifting evil magician Kane, who's in a jolly bad mood having spent the last 400 years trapped beneath a Japanese mountain.

MacLeod's main adversary is the perpetual script problems he's forced to battle, but once again it's the well-staged action that comes to the rescue.

Lots of action clichés, plot dithering and a total lack of style spoil this one, but the good players (Mario Van Peebles, Deborah Unger) are assets.
