For all of you out there who hissed and booed at Patrick Bergin's magnificent study in menace in Sleeping with the Enemy, here he's on the receiving end as the victim of a scheming, blackmailing femme fatale (Kelly Preston). If only Bergin had looked where he was going he would never have collided with her car, a bump which escalates into a steamy affair, blackmail and murder as these things always do. This limp attempt at an erotic thriller (maybe the script needed a metaphoric dose of Viagra) is contrived and overwrought.
